The Seer -"What is it you want?

Ragnar -"The gods have given me sons, as they promised. But I want to know what the future holds.what will become of them?"

The Seer -"The sons of Ragnar Lothbrok will be spoken of as long as men have tongues to speak."

Ragnar -"They will enjoy that much fame?"

The Seer -"One of them will marry the daughter of a king, another will discover and sail around the sea that has no tides. All this, and more, have I foreseen."

Ragnar -"Then they will have more fame than I, their father? What about Bjorn? What about my son Bjorn?

The Seer -"What of him?"

Ragnar -"Is he alive?"

The Seer -"It was of him I was speaking."

Ragnar -"Will I ever see him again?"

The Seer -"You ask too many questions.I have said enough."

•Season 3 Episode 10•

“It’s very important to note that he’s not only sick, he’s hovering between life and death. So that impacts hugely on the beginning of season four, which we’re working on now,” Hirst explained to the outlet. “It’s a big story point. It’s very important that Ragnar is weakened, ill and hovering between life and death when we come back for season four.” -The showrunner (to Ibtimes)

"Ragnar’s death would significantly affect the plot -- it would force the crown to be passed on to Bjorn (Alexander Ludwig), it would change the dynamic of the series and it would mean that Lagertha (Katheryn Winnick)/Ragnar shippers better stock up on tissues. (We couldn't be the only ones who were vying for the rekindling of their relationship all season, were we?)"-Ibtimes.com
